Original PTT telephone 1929. The telephone is a revised original, the wooden base is a replica and contains a battery and a SIM card module. You insert a SIM card and with it the PTT Telephone 1929 works completely independently on the mobile phone network (so the 1929 is actually a very old mobile phone). Swisscom customers can obtain a second (third, fourth...) SIM card (so-called multi-device) on their existing mobile phone number, in which case the PTT Telefon 1929 rings in parallel with the mobile phone (and it can also be used in parallel for calls and outgoing calls, i.e. completely autonomously, all under the existing Swisscom mobile phone number). This scenario is popular for holiday homes or at home for those who often leave their mobile in the car. Others insert a 20-franc SIM card from ALDI and divert their mobile to it with a delay (after 5 rings) to achieve a similar scenario. A power supply unit is included for continuous operation.
